Realme P4s 5G has been announced in India with a huge 8000mAh battery that supports 80W fast wired charging. The new P4s 5G has a dual-chip architecture, including a MediaTek processor and Realme’s Hyper Vision+ AI chip which the company calls a dedicated graphics chip.
Realme P4s 5G: Price, Availability
Realme P4s 5G costs Rs 34,999 for the 8GB + 128GB trim, Rs 37,999 for the 8GB + 256GB trim, and Rs 41,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant. One can avail a Rs 3,000 bank discount or a Rs 3,000 exchange bonus as a part of a launch offer, and up to 12-month No-cost EMI offer. It comes in Electric Cyan and Titanium Gray colours. The sale for the device begins September 3 at 12 noon via Flipkart and Realme’s website.
Realme P4s 5G: Specifications
The Realme P4s 5G gets a 6.78-inch flat Samsung M14 AMOLED Display with a 1.5K Resolution of 1272 x 2772 pixels and offers 10-bit colour depth, DC dimming, 100% P3 colour gamut coverage, 144Hz refresh rate, up to 6500 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra Processor powers it. It has LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
The handset packs a 8000mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging along with reverse wired charging support. The Realme P4s 5G has a 50MP f/1.8 primary sensor along with an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle sensor. There’s a 16MP f/2.4 sensor on the front for selfies.
The smartphone runs on Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0 out of the box and supports 3 major OS updates and 4 years of security patches. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor and dual stereo speakers. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, 5G, GPS, USB-C port, and Bluetooth v5.4. The Realme P4 5G is also IP66 + IP68 + IP69 rated.
Realme P4s 5G: Should You Buy It?
Within the ballpark of Realme P4s 5G is Motorola’s Edge 70 Pro. Starting at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB + 256GB version, the Edge 70 Pro costs Rs 2,000 more than the same variant of Realme’s phone but it justifies that with a faster RAM and storage, a far better chipset, better set of cameras (on-paper), NFC support, and slightly faster charging.
However, you get a much smaller 6500mAh battery than Realme’s huge 8000mAh cell but then Motorola’s device should technically charge faster. Basically, you’ll have to decide on the tradeoff if you go for Motorola’s phone.
At Rs 34,999, you can also consider the iQOO Z11 5G if you like its design, a curved display, and a slightly better chipset. However, you’ll have to compromise on the cameras, battery, and RAM, in the base model at least.
Then at Rs 41,999, there’s also the Redmi Turbo 5 where you get 8GB RAM and a slightly smaller 7540mAh battery which will be a tradeoff but then you get faster RAM and storage, superior chipset, and faster charging.
Overall, the Realme P4s 5G will be a decent pick if you prioritise battery life and want a great display along with decent day-to-day performance and cameras. However, if you want even better performance or cameras, then there are definitely better options available in the market.
