Oppo Reno6 series could arrive on May 22

Oppo goes all-in when the Reno series is involved. The company has been launching the series in six months’ time, and now the Reno6 is under the spotlight. According to one source, the company has scheduled an event for May 22 in China, and that’s when we’ll see the new phone lineup, as well as other smart products.

The company will host a gala with Zheijang, a Chinese TV channel. We expect the focus of the event to be smart TVs and their integration with the broadcast company, but Oppo is likely to tease the Reno6 smartphones, if not launch them fully.

So far we’ve heard the Reno6 Pro will have a Dimensity 1200 chipset, 6.55” OLED with a 32 MP camera, while the main shooter will be 64 MP. This sounds a lot like the Reno5 Pro with a new SoC, but the rumors also suggest a slightly bigger battery – 4,500 mAh with 65W fast charging.
