After a long week of rumours, OnePlus has made it official that it will no longer be launching new products in North America and Europe. The company reiterated its commitment towards the Indian market and confirmed its operations in the region remain unaffected.
OnePlus Quits North America, Europe
“As part of the proactive global strategy adjustment, OnePlus has decided to conclude new product rollouts in Europe and North America,” the company said in a community post.
The company thanked the users in the region for their feedback and support towards the brand. It stated that even though it will no longer launch new products in Europe and North America, existing OnePlus devices will continue to receive scheduled software updates and security patches within the support periods originally committed for each device model, also thanks to OPPO.
“Our customer service channels will remain open and responsive in accordance with our standard warranty and support obligations. Your statutory rights under applicable national consumer protection laws remain fully in effect and are unaffected by this announcement,” it added.
OnePlus India Operations to Continue
In a separate community post, Ford, Vice President of OnePlus India Business, confirmed that “India continues to be one of OnePlus’ most important markets globally, and our commitment to our users, partners, and community remains unwavering,” thereby denying the recent rumours that the brand will shut down shop in the region by 2027.
“We continue to invest in our products, our services, and the experiences we deliver, with the goal of bringing meaningful innovation to users across the country,” the post read. The company also claimed that it was the top-selling brand during Amazon Prime Day 2026 sale in India while the OnePlus N6 was the top-selling smartphone.
The company added that “our journey continues with an exciting roadmap ahead.” OnePlus is set to further expand its portfolio in the coming days, including the upcoming OnePlus N6x, “making the OnePlus experience even more accessible while continuing to offer products that cater to a wide range of users and budgets.”
Ford reiterated that through its “expanded after-sales service network with OPPO, OnePlus users now have access to more than 600 service centers across India.”
“Most importantly, every OnePlus customer can continue to expect the reliable product support, software updates, warranty coverage, and after-sales service that are part of the OnePlus experience. We’re focused on ensuring that every user enjoys the confidence and peace of mind that comes with choosing OnePlus.”
ColorOS 17 to Power OnePlus Devices Globally
As leaked a few days back, OnePlus confirmed that ColorOS 17 will be the default operating system on OnePlus devices doing forward. This also marks the end of OxygenOS.
“Following the official release of ColorOS 17, users globally with existing OnePlus devices that fall within the eligible upgrade scope will have the option to voluntarily update to the latest ColorOS,” the post read.
This decision is being taken to “streamline software development, accelerate update delivery, improve software quality, and make better use of our shared engineering and R&D capabilities, ultimately delivering a more stable, reliable, and future-ready software experience for our users,” according to OnePlus.
