Motorola Signature 27 has been announced by the company as one of its most advanced smartphones till date. The Signature 27 is the “first of Motorola’s ultra premium devices to adopt a new numerical naming structure that uses the final two digits of the coming year,” said the company. The Signature 27 also gets Motorola’s ArcticMesh cooling system, which “combines a new diamond-infused thermal gel, liquid metal, copper mesh, and a redesigned 3D vapour chamber to help efficiently manage heat during sustained AI use, gaming, and video performance,” and it is 40% larger than the previous generation.
Motorola Signature 27: Price, Availability, Specifications
The Motorola Signature 27 is expected to come to markets worldwide in 2026, and the pricing details will be revealed closer to launch. Motorola India has also been teasing the device, which means the device may debut in the country before the end of the year.
As for the specifications, Motorola hasn’t revealed a lot for now. The new Motorola phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, bringing a focus on on-device AI, gaming, camera processing and connectivity. Motorola says the platform is designed to keep the phone responsive over time, while its six antennas work together to improve connectivity and support faster cloud-based AI applications.
To handle the heat generated during sustained workloads, the Motorola Signature 27 uses Motorola’s ArcticMesh cooling system. It combines diamond-infused thermal gel, liquid metal, copper mesh and a redesigned 3D vapour chamber. Motorola says the cooling system is 40% larger than the previous generation and is designed to maintain performance during activities such as AI processing, gaming and video recording.
The phone is also promised seven years of OS upgrades, which should help extend its software support over the long term.
The Motorola Signature 27 will also offer Google’s Gemini as a personal AI assistant. Motorola says Gemini can go beyond answering questions to help users plan activities and take action across supported apps and services. The phone will also support creative AI features, including Gemini Omni, which can turn prompts, photos or existing footage into a polished video. Lyria can be used to generate original music and custom soundtracks, giving users additional tools for creating content directly on the phone.
Motorola is putting considerable emphasis on the camera system, which combines a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main sensor with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. The company says the setup is designed to deliver detailed images across different shooting conditions, including distant subjects, architecture and landscapes.
The Motorola Signature 27 also features Motorola’s Video Enhancement Engine, which uses AI to analyse scenes and adjust colour tones in real time while recording. Motorola says this is designed to produce more natural-looking colours and maintain image quality in situations such as concerts, low-light scenes and sunsets.
For stabilisation, the phone combines Qualcomm Technologies’ Image Stabilization with 3.5-degree OIS hardware. This is intended to make handheld video and panning shots smoother, particularly when recording while walking.
The device will be Motorola’s first smartphone to feature Audio by B&O, following the company’s recently announced multi-year partnership with Bang & Olufsen. The collaboration combines Motorola’s smartphone technology with Bang & Olufsen’s audio expertise, with the two companies working on a more premium audio experience for the device.
The Motorola Signature 27 continues the design language introduced with the Signature series, featuring an aluminium body with contoured edges and a slim profile. The camera housing uses a combination of ceramic and brushed aluminium, giving the rear a distinct visual element.
Motorola will offer the phone in two finishes. PANTONE Coal Smoke comes with a Tactical Weave texture inspired by automotive engineering and performance wear, while PANTONE Capulet Olive uses a brushed, textile-inspired finish with a softer look and feel.
