Motorola Razr Fold India launch has been teased by the company after the foldable was announced for the global markets back in March this year. The device has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Processor and is backed by a 6000mAh battery. Here’s what you can expect from it in India, including its expected price and detailed specifications.
Motorola Razr Fold India Launch
The Motorola Razr Fold India launch was teased by the brand’s official X account, which shows the device itself in the teaser. The post reads, “Something flawless is coming soon. Stay ready for the next icon.” The exact launch date is yet to be announced, but a Flipkart landing page confirms its coming later this month.
As for the expected price in India, the Motorola Razr Fold starts at EUR 1,999 (approx Rs 2,14,200) in Europe. While it may be priced a little lower than that, you can expect it to cross the Rs 1.2 lakh mark. That’s because the brand generally sells its flip foldable at Rs 1 lakh, so the book-style foldable will definitely be priced above that. However, these are speculative figures, so take them with a grain of salt.
It is available in Pantone Blackened Blue and Pantone Lily White shades globally. The Motorola Razr Fold features a 6.6-inch 21:9 pOLED LTPO outer cover display with 1080 x 2520 pixels resolution, up to 165Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colours, and 6000 nits peak brightness. It is protected with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3. The inner folding OLED display is 8.1-inch in size. This pOLED LTPO display supports 6200 nits peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate, 2484 x 2232 pixels resolution, and 10-bit colours.
The device draws power from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset paired with 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It runs on Android 16 and will receive 7 years of software updates and security patches.
It sports a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP f/1.6 Sony LYTIA 828 primary sensor, a 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide angle camera, and a 50MP f/2.4 Sony LYT-600 periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom, OIS, and Dolby Vision recording. For selfies, it gets a 32MP f/2.4 camera on the inner display and a 20MP f/2.4 camera on the cover display.
Connectivity options on the device include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, and a USB-C port. The foldable is backed by a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 80W TurboPower fast wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wired charging. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. The device is IP48 plus IP49 rated, has 3 mics, and also an AI key.
