Motorola Edge 30 with Snapdragon 778G+ visits Geekbench

Recently, we received the Motorola Edge 30 Pro and we’re working on a review. The phone is otherwise known as the Edge X30 in China and Edge Plus 2022 in the US. Whatever you call it, it is Moto’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1’s flagship, joined by the Edge S30 (Snapdragon 888+) and soon a new model that was just spotted at Geekbench.

It will be called simply Motorola Edge 30 and will be powered by the refreshed Snapdragon 778G+ – an improvement over the 778G that was inside the Edge 20 and Edge (2021). This new chip ups the Kryo 670 Prime clock speed to 2.5 GHz (up from 2.4 GHz) and the Adreno 642L has been boosted by 20%.

The phone ran Android 12 out of the box and was equipped with 8 GB of RAM for the test. Motorola has its own desktop mode, dubbed Ready For, so the extra processing power can be used for computer-like multitasking.

The Motorola Edge 30 (model number XT2203-1) recently surfaced at UAE’s wireless authority, however, that didn’t reveal much info.
