Mivi One 5G, the brand’s first smartphone, has been launched in India with a Snapdragon Processor under the hood. It comes with a 6000mAh battery and a dual rear camera setup. The device runs on Android 16 out of the box and claims to offer a bloatware-free experience.
Mivi One 5G: Price, Availability
Mivi One 5G is priced at Rs 14,999 for the 4GB + 128GB trim, Rs 15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB version, and Rs 16,999 for the top-end 8GB + 128GB model. One can avail up to Rs 1,500 instant bank discount with Axis, HDFC, ICICI, and SBI bank cards, or a Rs 1,000 exchange bonus during the Big Billion Days sale.
It will be offered in five colour options: Blue, Pink, Green, Burgundy and Navy Blue. The device will go on sale via Flipkart on October 8 at 12 AM IST.
Mivi One 5G comes with a one-year warranty at no additional cost, supported by Mivi’s network of 500+ service centres across India. Customers can avail free pick and drop across 19,000+ PIN codes with 7-10 days TAT depending on the location. Customers can also access aseven-day replacement policy backed by Mivi’s “Replaced, not repaired” promise, along with convenient support through the Mivi Care+ app.
Mivi One 5G: Specifications
The Mivi One 5G sports a 6.75-inch LCD panel that offers an HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 260 ppi, and a waterdrop notch housing the front camera. Under the hood, the device features the Snapdeagon 4 Gen 2 chipset and up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. There’s 128GB of built-in UFS 2.2 storage which is expandable through a hybrid slot, and the phone runs on Android 16 OS. It will get 2 Android OS updates.
For optics, you get a dual rear camera system, including 50-megapixel f/1.8 main camera with PDAF, paired with an auxiliary lens. You also get an 8MP f/2.0 selfie shooter. It is backed by a 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging via the USB-C port.
Connectivity options include dual SIM support, 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack. There’s also a side-facing fingerprint scanner, and a single bottom firing speaker. The device is also IP64 rated for dust and water resistance.
Mivi One 5G: Should You Buy It?
The Mivi One 5G, being the brand’s first smartphone, has been priced attractively. For Rs 14,999, it is mostly competing with 4G phones at this price which itself makes it a better option than most other phones.
Its closest competitors include the Boltt Ace 5G and the Lava Bold N4 Pro 5G, both of which get quite similar specs, but do offer a better display than Mivi’s phone in terms of refresh rate, as they support up to a 120Hz refresh rate which will offer a smoother experience in day-to-day use. Boltt’s phone also has a better 64MP camera sensor on the back, at least on paper, as we haven’t tried the devices in person, yet. Yes, it also costs Rs 1,000 cheaper for the base model but then it also has 64GB storage, which is less than the 128GB storage found in Mivi’s handset.
Mivi’s phone offers a better chipset in this price range, undercuts both of them when it comes to the price tag, and is also offering a better software update policy. Solely on the basis of the value proposition, we feel the Mivi One 5G is actually one of the better picks in this price segment.
