Will it come to PC?

While it’s possible that Wolverine could eventually come to PC, PlayStation has recently indicated that it will be giving up on most of its PC ports in the future. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reported back in May that PlayStation studio business CEO Hermen Hulst confirmed that first-party narrative-driven single-player games will be PlayStation exclusives moving forward. That sadly includes Marvel’s Wolverine as well as other recent games like Ghost of Yotei and Saros.

What Is Marvel’s Wolverine?

The latest State of Play gave us our first full look at gameplay for Insomniac’s highly anticipated game, which is absolutely worth watching before you buy. The biggest difference between this game and Insomniac’s popular Spider-Man games is that Wolverine is a narrative-driven, linear action game with some stealth sprinkled in. It’s also incredibly violent with combat that continuously piles on the gore. Without an open world to explore, you can expect it to be more like God of War than Spider-Man in how the story actually plays out.

The new gameplay footage gives us an idea of who to expect to see in the game, showcasing other iconic X-Men characters like Jean Grey and Mystique. We also get a look at how Wolverine’s Healing Factor ability gets incorporated, with the player mashing the Square button to recover. We’ll likely learn more as that September 2026 release date gets a little closer.
