Fujifilm’s global festival celebrating photography is returning to New York City for the first time in four years. Fujifilm Fuijikina New York will bring award-winning photographs, photo walks, portfolio reviews, talks, gear checks, and more to New York’s Lower East Side October 16-18.
Fujifilm’s Fujikina events are a global celebration of photography that brings together the latest gear along with well-known photographers and award-winning photos into a multi-day photography event. After teasing the event dates in July, Fujifilm North America unveiled a full list of details for the event today.
Fujikina New York 2026 will be no different – the upcoming event is already listing workshops, photo walks, and gear checks, along with both galleries of award-winning photographs and galleries that are still open for submission.
Fujifilm says the event will turn the Lower East Side into “a living gallery space” with five galleries across the event’s seven different venues. Three of those galleries are already filled with award-winning images, including Magnum: A World in Color, the World Press Photo traveling gallery of award-winners, and the International Center of Photography’s I’m So Happy You Are Here: Japanese Women Photographers from the 1950s to Now.
But, two of the planned galleries are still open for submission, which means photographers have a chance to get their work displayed at the event. The Fujifilm Community Gallery is looking for submissions on a theme of Inheritance, with applications open through August 24. Fujifilm says the gallery is a multi-genre collection looking for “photos that embody a lasting point of view—images that preserve a story, celebrate a community, document a changing world, honor an influence, or document a moment that deserves to outlive the present.”
Refractions of Identity, a gallery curated by the NYC-based Femme Photo, is also seeking submissions for images on the topic of Identity from women, femme-identifying, trans, and non-binary photographers. The deadline for submission is today, August 17.
The event is also set to include talks with several photographers, including Magnum’s Alec Soth, music photographer Janette Beckman, wedding and family photographer Alison Conklin, street photographer Derek Fahsbender, portrait photographer Gary Hughes, adventure photographer Irene Yee (@LadyLockoff), street and lifestyle photographer Jonas Rask, on-set motion picture still photographer Melina Sue Gordon, Fuji X Weekly writer Ritchie Roesch, photographer and director Scott Dunan, and nature and street photographer Tom Baumgaertel. Fujifilm says additional speakers will be announced.
Naturally, as a photo festival presented by a major camera brand, gear will be an integral part of the event, including gear demos, loaners, and gear cleaning. Fujifilm says that the focus is on photography as an art form, so photographers using any gear are welcome to attend; the gear checks and cleaning are limited to Fujifilm gear.
Fujifilm Fujikina NYC 2026 tickets are on sale now for $10 for general admission; some photowalks, workshops, and other experiences with limited spots may require an additional purchase.
