India celebrated Republic Day last Thursday, a holiday that is often paired with big discounts by retailers and brands. Xiaomi did well for itself as it announced that it has sold over 1 million products during its sale.
The so-called Republic Day Sale actually spanned several days, January 16 to 20, and covers a variety of categories – Xiaomi makes everything from headphones to smart TVs. The company doesn’t reveal which products sold the best, but we can take a guess.

The Redmi Note 12 series continues to enjoy high demand and sold over ₹5 billion worth of phones in less than two weeks since launch (January 11 to 23). This is up from the ₹3 billion reported for the first week of availability.
