Ubisoft reveals Anno 117: Pax Romana for a 2025 release

One of the games Ubisoft revealed at today’s Forward event was Anno 117: Pax Romana, a new game in the Anno strategy game series. The trailer didn’t reveal too many details about the game, except that it takes place in the Roman Empire in the year 117 A.D. and that Ubisoft is targeting a release in 2025 for the title.

The game’s page on the Ubisoft Store reveals more information about Anno 117: Pax Romana. In this game, the player takes on the role of one of the Roman governors, with the option to shape the Empire as either a loyalist or a rebel. Specifically, the player governs Latium and Albion (known today as Western Italy and England). The Store page highlights the choices available to the player: “Will you encourage economic growth or expand your rule through dominance? Lead with rebellion or unite a diverse culture?”

This will be the first new game in the Anno series since Anno 1800 launched in 2019. Ubisoft confirmed during the show that the game will launch on PC as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
