The new One UI 4.0 beta for the Galaxy S21 series reaches the UK

The new One UI 4.0 beta for the Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra is expanding. The first users to receive it were in South Korea with reports coming out of Germany too. Less than a day later the update went live in India and now it has reached UK shores.

This update adds RAM Plus, Material You themes and other new features. It is based on Android 12, you can read our Android 12 review for a brand-agnostic view of the new OS.

Brits who want to test the new software early can sign up using the Samsung Members app (it should be in the notification section). This is a beta, of course, so you may encounter some issues – proceed at your own risk. Samsung recommends that you make a backup of important data.

Note that the beta is available only for unlocked phones and even then some users are reporting that they don’t see the notification that allows them to sign up.
