Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 Key Specifications Tipped, Dual-Chip Strategy To Be Adopted

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 key specifications have been tipped in a new leak along witha rumour which says Samsung will be adopting the dual-chip strategy, same as it did with this year’s Galaxy S26 and S26+. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming Clamshell foldable from Samsung.

Galaxy Z Flip 8 Key Specifications (Leaked)

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 key specifications were tipped by @TheGalox_ on X, suggesting the device will sport a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED cover panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, it will get a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X foldable main display with an adaptive Refresh Rate ranging from 1Hz up till 120Hz.

This phone will be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2600 SoC and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 also, depending on the region. This leak was further corroborated by another source on a Korean blog.

Same as last year’s Flip 7, it will come with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 will likely come with a dual-camera setup on the back. It may include a 50-megapixel f/1.8 sensor with OIS and a 12-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens. On the inside, it should get a 10-megapixel f/2.2 front-facing sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 will pack a 4300mAh battery and will charge at 25W speeds with a wired charger, and supports fast wireless charging 2.0 along with reverse wireless charging as well. These are the same battery specs as the Flip 7.

Connectivity options will probably include 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.4, NFC, and a USB Type-C port for charging. The Z Flip 8 will run on One UI 9.0 based on Android 17 and will get 7 years of major OS upgrades and security patches. There will be a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, along with stereo speakers for audio.

The report adds that the device will start from USD 1,099, translating to about Rs 1,05,100. The Flip 7 started at Rs 1,09,999 in India, so you can expect pricing of the Flip 8 to be along similar lines.

Aside from a Processor refresh, Samsung seems to be sticking to the same specs as the Flip 8’s predecessor. However, leaks suggest the device will get a revamped hinge mechanism along with a slimmer and lighter body than the Flip 7. The new hinge will also likely help with a lesser prominent crease on the foldable display.

The device is expected to debut next month on July 22 along with the Z Fold 8 and the Z Fold 8 Ultra.
