According to past rumors Samsung may release the Fold in South Korea as early as September 18 but we still don’t have confirmation on that. Back in July, the company issued an official statement which detailed all the improvements made to the design of the Fold. These include a revised hinge mechanism as well as an extended protective layer on top of the display to prevent any particles from damaging the screen.

Samsung also claimed it worked on improving the user experience with more optimized apps and services capable of taking advantage of the large screen real estate. All that’s left now is for Samsung to confirm the release date.
