Samsung Galaxy A60 in for review, unboxing and key features

This is the Samsung Galaxy A60, but you might know it as the Galaxy M40, depending on where you live.

It’s a budget phone with decent specs and heaps of charm but you shouldn’t take its model number to mean that it’s a better phone than some of its lower-named peers like the Galaxy A50.

For starters the Galaxy A60 has an LCD instead of an AMOLED. The resolution is alright at 1080x2640px but the less-punchy colors are a clear giveaway.

Samsung didn’t use a notch and instead placed the 16MP f/2.0 selfie snapper inside a punch hole on the screen.

Performance from the Snapdragon 675 chipset and the 6GB of RAM is zippy, and Samsung’s One UI feels properly smooth.

Apart from being fast, One UI is also one of the most beautiful takes on Android and adds a lot of value to the experience with features like the Night Mode, which makes the entire UI and many of the built-in apps darker, smart quick actions like the swipe to quickly search or draw down the notification area.

Turn the Galaxy A60 over to the back and enjoy the gorgeous Seawater Blue color. It shimmers and under direct light changes hues from a light blue to a light green and is a pleasure to the eyes. Not the first pretty phone by Samsung lately, we might add.

A picture is worth a thousand words, they say, but we’ve also made a quick unboxing and key features video for you’re viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

Special thanks to GearBest for providing the review unit.
