Samsung has begun teasing its next generation of foldable devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series. The term series is being used as the Samsung is expected to launch two book-style foldables this year, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The teasers also suggest a similar launch strategy.
The company has begun posting teasers on its social media handles for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series with the tagline: “New Shape. New Joy.” On Instagram, Samsung India has posted a total of six teasers, depicting a new kind of form factor for the foldables. “From pizza slices to chocolate bars, a familiar shape and ratio appear throughout, hinting at what comes next for Galaxy,” the company said in a press release.
In the six teasers posted, three of them show a tall form factor which is likely for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, the successor to last year’s Fold 7. The wider form factor is likely a hint at the upcoming Z Fold 8 which employs an entirely new aspect ratio we’ll be seeing Samsung adopt for the first time.
“While Samsung isn’t revealing what’s coming just yet, the clues hint at a broader vision for foldables built around greater choice and new ways to experience Galaxy. The goal is not simply to introduce something new, but to continue expanding the range of foldable experiences available to users,” the company said.
Rumour suggest that Samsung will be revealing the foldables on July 22, but an official confirmation from the brand is still awaited.

Official Cases Leaked for Galaxy Z Fold 8, Fold 8 Ultra, Flip 8

In a separate leak from Android Headlines, the official cases for the upcoming foldables were revealed, which also give us a detailed look at all three devices. The Fold 8, as expected, can be seen having a shorter yet much wider screen and body.

It also has dual rear cameras compared to the Fold 8 Ultra which will get triple cameras on the back along with an identical form factor as the Z Fold 7.

The Flip 8 also retains its looks from the Flip 7 with the same cover screen and the same tall aspect ratio for the foldable display. It gets dual rear cameras, and leaks suggest the device will get a new hinge that is slimmer and will help in reducing the crease on the display.
