Renders of Oppo Watch 2 ECG edition leak

The original Oppo Watch arrived in early 2020 and had a special ECG edition that launched globally in mid-September. The Oppo Watch 2 launched at the end of July, but there was no mention of an ECG sensor.

Oppo does seem to be working on an ECG edition for the new model as evidenced by the leaked images shared by Evan Blass. Will this one be available globally? Unfortunately, only Oppo can answer that right now.

ECG (sometimes EKG) stands for electrocardiogram, a much more accurate way to track your heartbeat compared to the optical sensors found on most smart watches and bands, which mostly count the beats. However, ECG is more complicated in terms of sensors and requires approval to be enabled in a country, so only a few premium devices offer this feature.
