Redmi Note 17 5G series has been launched in China comprising of two models, namely the Redmi Note 17 5G and the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G. The devices also have an IP rating, up to 9000mAh battery, dual rear cameras on the Pro, OLED displays, and more. Here’s everything to know about them.
Redmi Note 17 5G: Price, Specifications
The Note 17 5G starts at CNY 1,299 (approx Rs 18,400) and comes in black, light aquamarine, and meteor purple shades.
The Redmi Note 17 5G sports a 7-inch full-HD+ Resolution OLED Display with a Refresh Rate of 120Hz, 12-bit colours, 1800 nits peak brightness, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 3840Hz PWM dimming.
The device is equipped with Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 SoC under the hood, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It comes with up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage which is also expandable up to 1TB.
The Redmi Note 17 5G features a single rear camera setup with a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera. The smartphone also has a 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera. The Note 17 5G packs an 8000mAh battery and comes with 45W Fast charging support and 22.5W reverse wired charging as well.
Additional features include an IR Blaster and a single speaker. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC and a USB-C port for charging. The device runs on Hyper OS 3 based on Android 16. There’s an in-display optical fingerprint sensor for security while the handset is IP65 rated as well.
Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G: Price, Specifications
The Pro model starts at CNY 1,599 (approx Rs 22,700) and comes in Sky Blue, Nebula Purple, Black, and White colours.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K Resolution AMOLED Display with a Refresh Rate of 120Hz, Dolby Vision, 12-bit colours, 3500 nits peak brightness, 447 ppi, 480Hz touch sampling rate, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and HDR10+ support. It is protected with Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The device is equipped with Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 SoC under the hood, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It comes with up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage with UFS 2.2 storage in the 128GB model.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G features a dual camera setup with a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. The smartphone also has an 8MP selfie camera. The Note 17 Pro packs a 9000mAh battery and comes with 67W Fast charging support and 22.5W reverse wired charging.
Additional features include X-Axis Linear Haptics Motor, IR Blaster, and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC and a USB-C port for charging. The device runs on Hyper OS 3 based on Android 16. There’s an in-display optical fingerprint sensor for security and the handset is IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rated also.
