Realme teases the GT Neo3’s 150W charging with TÜV Rheinland certification

BBK Electronics-made phones have been at the forefront of fast charging for a couple of years now and companies under the umbrella are looking to maintain that leadership. Realme GT Neo3, for example, is confirmed to arrive with 150W UltraDart fast wired charging and today, the company released another teaser for it.

The teaser posters show the GT Neo3’s cell split in half, which is the usual battery design used for fast charging tech. The 4,500 mAh battery will charge from flat to 50% in just 5 minutes, so a full charge would probably take well below the 20-minute mark.

To ensure the safety of the charger, Realme says it passed 41 TÜV Rheinland safety tests thanks to an independent chip responsible for the charging curve. There’s also an additional cooling pad solution that should maximize heat dissipation.

More recently, a OnePlus device passed 3C certification with 160W fast charging and Oppo introduced its 150W SuperVOOC charger, so it’s probably safe to assume that they all use the same technology.
