POCO has announced a trio of new devices globally, including the POCO F9 Ultra, POCO F9 Pro, and the POCO X8. The new handsets have a Snapdragon Processor under the hood, where the F9 series gets the flagship 8 Elite series chips while the POCO X8 has a Snapdragon 6-series processor. POCO will also be launching the POCO X8 series in India on September 4 which will include the POCO X8. Here are all the details of the new devices.
POCO F9 Ultra: Price, Specifications
The POCO F9 Ultra starts at USD 799 (approx Rs 75,800) and comes in Black and Dark Cherry.
The POCO F9 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with 1200 x 2608 pixels resolution, 4500 nits peak brightness, up to 2560Hz PWM dimming, up to 185Hz refresh rate, 12-bit colours, Adaptive HDR, up to 480Hz touch sampling rate, Dolby Vision, 416 ppi, and HDR10+. It is protected with Gorilla Glass 7i.
The POCO F9 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3.0 out of the box.
The POCO F9 Ultra sports triple cameras on the rear, including a 200MP f/1.68 Samsung HP5 OIS main camera sensor, a 50MP f/2.4 Omnivision OV50M ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 50MP f/3.0 5x Samsung JN5 telephoto periscope lens.
There’s a 32MP camera sensor on the front for selfies and video calls. It further packs an in-screen 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, IP68-rated body, and a set of Bose 2.1 stereo speakers paired with an oversized woofer on the back.
Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v6.0, GPS, NFC, and a USB-C port for charging. The device packs an 8050mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. There’s support for 22.5W reverse wireless charging and 27W reverse wired charging also.
POCO F9 Pro: Price, Specifications
The F9 Pro starts at USD 699 (approx Rs 66,300) and is available in Black, White, and Aurora Green.
The POCO F9 Pro gets a 6.59-inch (2510 x 1156 pixels) 1.5K Resolution 12-bit AMOLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, up to 4500 nits peak brightness, 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, HDR10+ support, Dolby Vision, 2560Hz PWM Dimming, and DC Dimming. It also has Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V series processor, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The handset gets a triple rear camera system, including a 200MP primary camera with f/1.68 Samsung HP5 lens, OIS, LED flash, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 50MP 2.5x telephoto camera with f/2.0 Aperture and OIS. There’s a 32MP selfie snapper on the front.
The device is equipped with a Bose 2.1 stereo sound system with a rear subwoofer. As for the battery, the POCO F9 Pro has a 6330mAh battery with 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, 27W reverse wired charging, and 22.5W reverse wireless charging.
It further has an X-axis linear motor, USB-C port, NFC, Bluetooth v6.0, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, an IR blaster, and Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 3.0 based on Android 16. The handset is also IP68 rated and has a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
POCO X8 5G: Price, Specifications
The POCO X8 5G starts at USD 269 (Rs 25,500) and comes in Black, White, and Orange.
The POCO X8 5G sports a 6.83-inch (2772 x 1280 pixels) 1.5K AMOLED 20:9 display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, up to 3500 nits peak brightness, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 3840Hz PWM Dimming, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and DC Dimming.
The device packs the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 SoC and runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3.0. The smartphone also houses up to 12GB LPPDR4x RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and VC liquid cooling system. The 128GB model has UFS 2.2 storage. The device is IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rated.
For optics, the handset features a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel f/1.8 primary sensor with OIS and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor. For selfies, the handset houses a 16-megapixel f/2.4 selfie camera.
Connectivity options include 5G dual SIM, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.1, Dual-Band GNSS, IR blaster and NFC. It has dual stereo speakers. The handset also features an in-screen optical fingerprint sensor. For battery, the smartphone packs a 8340mAh battery along with support for 67W Fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging.
