Samsung is in the process of rolling out One UI 3.1.1 to its various smartphones and tablets, and it came with a bit of a surprise for the company’s current flagship tablet. Ported over from the latest foldable, Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 now has a handy taskbar. Launched first with the Galaxy Z Fold 3, the “taskbar” allows users to pin their list of favorite apps to the side of the display.

With the launch of iOS 15 and iPad OS 15, Google announced a handful of app updates to support the latest platform features today. This includes new XL widgets, Focus mode, and Spotlight support. The most full-featured Gmail experience is still found on the web, but the mobile apps continue to pick up more and more capabilities. Gmail for Android is now gaining “improved search” through a set of filters.  Gmail search filters on Android work “independently or post-search.” The former means they appear after tapping the top — now pill-shaped — field before entering a query.
