Oppo A74 5G stops by Geekbench with Snapdragon 480 chipset

Oppo’s A-series of entry-level and mid-range devices is going to expand even further soon with the addition of two new phones – the A74 and A74 5G.

The latter has just been spotted at Geekbench, where it was powered by the Snapdragon 480 chipset, Qualcomm’s entry-level 5G-capable SoC. As you can see, the prototype in question achieved a 523 single-core score, and a 1,758 multi-core score.

This specific A74 5G had 6GB of RAM when it reached Geekbench, but other versions with different amounts of memory may be offered when it goes on sale. Thanks to a bunch of different certifications from earlier this month, we know that the Oppo CPH2197 is the model number for the A74 5G, and there will also be a 4G A74, with the model number CPH2219.

The Oppo A74 5G will have a 5,000 mAh battery and will run Android 11 out of the box, with ColorOS 11 on top. On the other hand, the 4G iteration might be powered by the Snapdragon 662 and get support for 33W fast charging.
