OnePlus releases Oxygen 11 OS list of eligible devices

OnePlus brought a bit more clarity about its Android 11 update plans, announcing which devices will get Oxygen OS 11 and when they should expect it. In a forum post, the company confirmed the OnePlus Nord is first in line for an Open Beta build with the arrival scheduled for next week.

The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series will follow once the company resolves an internal data decryption issue with Qualcomm, and last in line are the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T phones, as well as the affordable Nord 10 and Nord 100.

The brand did not disclose exact dates for the Oxygen OS 11 push. It believes the stable update will be rolled out once the Open Beta is done, but there is no deadline. The situation with OnePlus 7 phones is a bit more complicated – the schedule may vary for devices purchased from partners like Verizon, T-Mobile, EE, and others due to their personalized software.

Speaking about the cheapest and oldest phones from this list, OnePlus stated it would “keep [us] posted on more details later.”

The OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8T are already running the Android 11-based Oxygen OS 11. The interface has some redesigned core apps, AOD with new clock styles, a new font that improves readability, and optimized Zen Mode and Dark Mode.
