Nikon confirms the first Z9 orders will start shipping on December 23

Nikon has confirmed the first orders for its Z9 mirrorless cameras will start being fulfilled on December 23, 2021, meaning some lucky Nikon users could have their cameras in hand before the end of the year.

In an email sent to Nikon Professional Services (NPS) members, Nikon says the first batch of Z9 cameras are arriving at retailers from its factories and are expected to ship out soon to NPS members who have requested priority delivery. Specifically, Nikon says orders placed through authorized Nikon dealers before December 19 with priority delivery selected in members’ NPS dashboard will start shipping on December 23 and continue to ship out through mid-January 2022, until all NPS priority requests placed as of December 19 are fulfilled.

NPS members who have ordered the Z9 should receive an email once the camera is scheduled to ship. If you’re an NPS member who has already placed a pre-order for the Z9 with an authorized retailer, but haven’t submitted the NPS Priority Purchase Delivery request, Nikon says you can should do so immediately through your NPS dashboard.
