Moto Pad 70 has been announced in India shortly after the Moto Pad 70 Groove was announced in the region. The new Pad 70 comes with Android 16 out of the box and is packed with a MediaTek Dimensity processor under the hood. It comes with an IPS LCD display along with a bundled moto pen. Separately, the company is also planning to debut a new phone later this week, dubbed Moto G Max.
Moto Pad 70: Price, Specifications
The Moto Pad 70 is priced at Rs 33,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and Rs 36,999 for the 8GB + 256GB trim. It will be available from Flipkart, motorola’s website, and leading retail stores starting from August 15 in a single Pantone Sea Angel colour. One can avail an instant bank discount of up to Rs 5,000 with select bank cards.
The Moto Pad 70 sports a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD display, featuring a 90Hz refresh rate, 96% DCI-P3 coverage, and offers up to 800 nits in High Brightness Mode. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Processor paired with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage which is expandable up to 2TB.
It has launched with Android 16 and one can expect to get 2 OS upgrades until Android 18 and 4 years security patches until 2030. It gets 4 speakers with Dolby Atmos support. At the back it gets a 13MP camera and at the front there’s an 8MP sensor. For wireless connectivity, you get Bluetooth v5.2 and Wi-Fi 6. There’s a USB-C port for charging.
The tablet features a 10,200mAh battery supporting up to 15 hours of YouTube video streaming, along with 45W Fast charging capability but you get a 68W charger in the box. It is also IP52 rated for dust and water resistance and comes bundled with the moto pen which supports 4096 pressure levels, tilt detection and palm rejection.
Moto G Max India Launch
Separately, Motorola has confirmed that the Moto G Max India launch will take place on August 14. The company also revealed the device’s design in Stargazer, Alaskan Blue, and Malaga shades. As for specs, it sports a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 1080 x 2400 Pixels Resolution and a 391 ppi. It has a punch-hole cutout at the centre. In addition, the display has a 120Hz Refresh Rate, 1050 nits peak brightness, 8-bit colours, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
The handset packs a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 Chipset under the hood. The phone runs on Android 16 on the software side where you will get 2 Android OS update and 3 years of security updates. You get LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. There is a dual camera setup on the back, which includes a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera with f/1.8 Aperture and an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle sensor. It also has an Ambient light sensor on the back. On the front, the Motorola device has an 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera.
A 7000mAh battery with 30W Fast charging support backs the Moto G Max. It also supports 6W reverse wired charging. The phone has connectivity features like 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/GLONASS/QZSS/Galileo, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
It gets stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well. The device is IP64 rated, and comes with Military-grade durability backed by MIL-STD 810H certification.
These are the same specifications as the Moto G77 Power 5G but with a different chipset, better software support, and faster RAM and storage. The G77 Power 5G starts at Rs 25,999, so you can expect the Moto G Max to also be priced in the same price bracket.
