Metaplanet Inc. (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 3350 / OTCQX: MTPLF), a publicly listed bitcoin treasury company in Japan, has announced the acquisition of an additional 1,241 bitcoin as part of its ongoing Bitcoin Treasury Operations, bringing its total holdings to 6,796 bitcoin. The latest purchase was made at an average price of 14,848,061 yen per bitcoin, totaling approximately 18.426 billion yen. The company reported a significant performance in its bitcoin acquisition strategy, with a BTC Yield of 41.7% from July 1 to September 30, 2024, 309.8% from October 1 to December 31, 2024, and 95.6% from January 1 to March 31, 2025. As of the current quarter, from April 1 to May 12, 2025, the BTC Yield stands at 38%.
