HTC to launch TWS earphones with 480 mAh battery

The National Certification Corporation (NCC) is the organization that oversees devices getting imported in the United States and from time to time its website gives us a bit of info on upcoming products. The latest finding is TWS earphones from HTC with a 480 mAh battery and USB-C charging port.

The wireless earbuds might be called HTC TWS1, according to the listing. It also revealed that the whole set will include a charging case with a 400mAh power cell with 40 mAh battery in each bud. Looking at the actual images, we can only guesstimate the outside part will sport some touch controls and there will be LED light, although this could also be a small hole for the outwards mic.

HTC is obviously preparing the TWS1 in two colors – White and Black, but we’re not so confident it will support wireless charging. However, since the battery isn’t massive, the earphones will likely be charged from 0% to 100% in about an hour, hour and a half with its 5W rate.

What do you think? Is HTC going to launch an actually good product or is this another attempt for the company to stay afloat? Tell us in the comments.
