Honor 9X series exceeds 200,000 pre-registrations in a day

Yesterday marked the debut of the Honor 9X series in China. We got a vanilla and Pro version which feature identical displays, chipsets and batteries. The 9X Pro provides a third 8MP ultra-wide camera around the back and starts at 8GB RAM while the regular version is offered in 4GB and 6GB variants.

It seems the devices have excited Chinese users as Huawei mall pre-registrations reached the 100,000 mark less than 24 hours after the unveiling. In addition, JD.com brought in another 100,000 bookings bumping the total to 200,000. Mind you, these aren’t actual pre-orders as they require no deposit of any sort, but they are still pretty indicative of the high interest the new duo is enjoying.

The Honor 9X is scheduled to hit shelves in China on July 30 while its Pro sibling will do so on August 9. There is still no word on international availability.
