Motorola’s Moto G53 debuted in China last week with the Snapdragon 480+ SoC and 5G support. A new report now suggests that the global variant will have slightly different specs. An earlier leak shows the design too, which isn’t very different from the Chinese iteration.

Perhaps the two most notable differences are the display and chipset. The global version is expected to arrive with the newer Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, while the display will be upgraded to a 6.6″ OLED panel of FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. It’s The Chinese G53 has a lackluster 6.5-inch HD+ LCD.
The base memory configuration is rumored to be 6GB/128GB and the rear will sport a 50MP main shooter, 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro unit. The selfie snapper will have 16MP resolution.
A 5,000 mAh battery will power up the Moto G53, but its charging rate is yet to be confirmed.
So the global G53 shapes up to be a very different device and a pretty lucrative one at that. Pricing remains to be confirmed.
