Opening Night Live 2026 is over for another year, and it brought plenty of announcements, new trailers, and news on upcoming games. We’ve got all the reveals that matter right here, rounded up below.
Highlights include The Witcher 3 Remastered, The Witcher 3 expansion Songs of the Past, the new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Revelation, and the surprise drop of Crimson Desert Enhanced.

The Witcher 3 – Songs of the Past
And finally, we got a look at The Witcher 3 expansion, Songs of the Past, which is due out in 2027. Geralt is back! CD Projekt also announced that the previous two expansions are now free. Like, right now! Much more on The Witcher 3 – Songs of the Past right here.
The Witcher 3 Remasted
Wow! This is perhaps the biggest reveal of ONL: a remaster of CD Projekt’s The Witcher 3! It’s a free upgrade for all The Witcher 3 owners, and is out September 29, 2026. Much more on The Witcher 3 Remastered here.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation
And here’s a big one! At ONL we got a new look at Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the final entry in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy. Director Naoki Hamaguchi took to the stage to confirm a spring 2027 release window and intro a new trailer, below.
In the trailer, enormous guardians called Weapons emerge to defend a world in crisis. Making no distinction between friend and foe, the Weapons wreak catastrophic destruction upon the planet and its people. Upon desert sands, in mid-air dogfights and at the bottom of the sea, Cloud and his fellow heroes must stand against the colossal Weapons even as they toil to save the world from Sephiroth. A late-game element of the original Final Fantasy VII, the Weapons return in reimagined glory as standout battles in Final Fantasy VII Revelation, some of which appear in ultra-challenging endgame battles as an homage to their original forms.
The new trailer also showcases the powerful new Summon Typhon and open-world exploration via parachute, grappling hook and Chocobo mounts, plus Cloud and Tifa in their Warrior and Black Mage FITS. New to Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the FITS system introduces unique outfits that bestow new abilities and greater heights of power, with specialized roles evoking classic Final Fantasy jobs.

Tarae: The Unbound
Tarae: The Unbound made its first public appearance at ONL, introducing its world and gameplay. The game is set in an Eastern dark fantasy world, with Eastern-inspired cinematic visuals and narration from Agasa introducing the game’s world and story before transitioning into a hero confronting a great calamity. The trailer then moves into gameplay, featuring powerful abilities and high-pressure boss encounters.
The Defiant
The Defiant is a story-driven shooter set in the rarely explored Asian theatre of World War II, built in Unreal Engine 5 and featuring cinematic visuals alongside replayable tactical combat. It’s described as the first major war game centred on China’s War of Resistance against Japan. Expect a launch on PC, Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5.
Roco Kingdom
Developer and publisher Morefun Studios announced that Roco Kingdom — the multiplayer open-world creature-collector and newest entry in the massively popular Chinese franchise — will now launch globally. Roco Kingdom is coming to Windows PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and mobile devices (iOS and Android) globally, with a release date to be announced at a later date.
There Are No Ghosts at the Grand
Friday Sundae’s musical mystery sees players inherit a crumbling English hotel and restore it by day, while battling ghosts by night alongside a sardonic cat and a talking power tool. Expect a release later this year.
Zoopunk
More animal games! And more rats, I think. Action rabbit here we go! Zoopunk is the Metroidvania action game by TiGames, a Tencent Games-backed studio.
Pony Island 2 Panda Circus
I’m not sure what this trailer is, but it’s certainly… something! Pony Island 2 Panda Circus is out April 27, 2027.
Ontos
We got our first look at Ontos, the next game from Frictional Games, developer of Amnesia. It stars Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård, and there are lots of rats in it! Ontos is due out on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S in 2027.
No Law
I’m really looking forward to No Law, the next game from the developers of The Ascent. It’s a first-person Cyberpunk-style game where you go around causing havoc in an open-world city. The kick is a big deal in this one. It’s due out in 2027.
Heroes of Might & Magic 3 remake
Ubisoft announced Heroes of Might & Magic 3 remake with a cinematic trailer that also includes gameplay. It’s a modern reimagining of the turn-based strategy classic, developed by Ubisoft China studios in Chengdu and Shanghai. Expect a launch in 2027 on Ubisoft+, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation and PC through Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
Path of Exile 2 full 1.0 release
Path of Exile 2 has its full 1.0 release set for December 11, 2026. Grinding Gear Games’ free-to-play action RPG will introduce the Duelist, a sword-focused melee class, and add the remaining campaign Acts with the 1.0 launch. The new class debuted in a fresh trailer, below.
LEGO Skylines
Finally, LEGO Skylines is announced! Iceflake Studios’ LEGO Skylines is a cozy, customizable city-builder where players begin with a single plot and grow it into a thriving metropolis, balancing roads, electricity, food, water, public services, and citizen happiness as they unlock new buildings and features. It’s due out on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Gravhounds
This new third-person co-op action game sees you play as a humaoid dog. Really. Independent developer and publisher Octopus Panic announced Gravhounds, a new 1-4-player co-op action builder coming to early access on PC and Xbox Series X and S on November 2, 2026, and available day one with Xbox Game Pass. The announcement trailer, below, showcases the game’s chaotic, physics-driven mayhem, tasking players with dropping into hostile planets as a pack, building defensive fortifications, and extracting with valuable resources before becoming alien chow.
Turok: Origins
During ONL, Saber Interactive revealed the new story trailer for Turok: Origins, the fast-paced, dinosaur-hunting sci-fi shooter launching in spring 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S and Nintendo Switch 2.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour
I’m really looking forward to Crazy Taxi coming back! The new trailer for Crazy Taxi: World Tour offers a first look at the multiplayer modes, where the city becomes a shared playground where rival drivers compete for passengers. The trailer also confirms the return of fan favorites Gena, B.D. Joe, and Gus.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour is set to release in 2027 on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox on PC, Steam, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
Stage Tour
RedOctane Games announced its upcoming rhythm title, Stage Tour, launches on December 10, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The new trailer features Mötley Crüe’s ‘Kickstart My Heart.’
Road Kings
Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive confirmed the release date for Road Kings, “the next-gen truck simulator,” with a brand-new trailer. Road Kings invites players to take the driver’s seat of a 40-ton semi, delivering goods across the American South while facing disasters both natural and man-made.
Players build their own trucking empire from the ground up, starting with nothing but a truck. Every job completed and every mile driven shapes your reputation: go from a lone rookie to the owner of your own company built job by job, delivery by delivery.
Road Kings launches March 11, 2027, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.
Mewgenics
After a Mewgenics musical performance from Matthias Bossi, Carla Kihlsteadt and Geoff Pearlman from Ridiculon, we got confirmation of a console release date on PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X and S: September 8.

Petit Planet
Here’s another game from HoYoverse: Petit Planet, a cosy life sim where you enjoy slow, fulfilling days on your very own planet.
Afterworld
Afterworld is a new grand strategy game from Paradox all about restoring the might of America after an apocalyptic event. It’s Paradox Development Studio’s first original setting in a decade.
Here’s the official blurb:
Set in a procedurally generated North American wasteland, players guide a small band of survivors as they secure food, water, and shelter, rediscover lost technology, and build a continent-spanning empire.
Players will define the laws and values of their society, navigate moral crises, negotiate or fight with rival tribes, and unlock advances through a dynamic Ideas Tree shaped by what they discover and experience.
The strategic sandbox supports both competitive multiplayer and co-op, with emergent stories, shifting resources, ancient technology, and immortal pre-Fall leaders known as the Ancients.
Expect a launch at some point on PC via Steam.
Aion 2
NC’s Aion 2 has an October 5 release date on PC (Steam and PURPLE) in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Before launch, NC will conduct a ‘Launch Scale Test’ on September 17-18, building an environment similar to the actual service to check server and infrastructure stability, while also giving players the opportunity to experience the game before its official launch.
NC will then give players who have signed up for the Founder’s Pack five days of Early Access gameplay from September 30 to October 4, before the official launch October 5.
Snoop Dog is coming to Hitman!
Yes, you read that right: Snoop Dog is coming to Hitman. Why not? The rap legend joins the World of Assassination as Dr. Cyrus Cane, an eccentric entrepreneur renowned for his wide-ranging and unconventional business ventures. In this new mission, Agent 47 sets his sights on eliminating Cane. His newest venture, Morsizzles, is a cookie product poised for a worldwide launch and millions in profits as buzz over its addictive taste spreads across social media and investment circles. However, beneath the hype lies a darker truth: an investigation has surfaced evidence of cover-ups linked to several deaths during internal product testing. To stop the launch and fulfil the contract, Dr. Cane must be permanently removed as the face of Morsizzles and the product must disappear.
Metro 2039
Ukraine-based developer 4A Games took to the stage to intro Metro 2039 with a brand new gameplay trailer, showing the new voiced protagonist known only as The Stranger. The two-minute trailer, titled Renegade, was captured entirely in-game, and shows The Stranger using a mix of stealth and combat to infiltrate a Novoreich-occupied Moscow.

This trailer gives players just a taste of the hauntingly beautiful hand-crafted environments waiting to be explored, from the realities of daily life in Sevastopolskaya station to the deadly irradiated surface of Moscow, and thrilling FPS stealth action gameplay made possible by harnessing the proprietary power of the 4A Engine.
Metro 2039 is due out February 2027 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Silver Palace
Elementa Games’ Unreal Engine 5-powered open-world action RPG, Silver Palace, got a brand-new trailer at ONL, revealing a first look at the game’s multiplayer and brand-new story elements. This detective adventure is currently in development for PC, mobile, and PlayStation 5.
1001 Threads of Mizan
What if Assassin’s Creed had hoverboards? 1001 Threads of Mizan looks a bit like that. Developed and published by MBC Game Studio, which is made up of developers from BioWare, Hi-Rez, Ubisoft Montréal, and Bungie, 1001 Threads of Mizan is an action-adventure set in the world of One Thousand and One Nights. It’s an Arabian fantasy title that sees players soar through the skies on flying carpets through drop-in, drop out co-op to explore and take down colossal bosses together.
Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons
Resident Evil star Maggie Robertson came out on stage to introduce third-person single-player action-adventure game Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons. The extended gameplay reveal showed off exploration, traversal puzzle-solving, and plenty of dialogue. Combat involves lots of magic, teleportation, and swordplay. The action looks a little clunky, but the magic system looks interesting. It’s due out 2027 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. Here’s the official blurb from Wizards of the Coast:
Warlock is set in a dark fantasy open world inspired by Dungeons & Dragons where magic is a tool that players will use creatively across systemic combat and exploration. Developed by Invoke Studios, the game places players in the role of Kaatri, a veteran weapons master who makes a pact to wield otherworldly magic against dark powers. The role of Kaatri is performed by the award-winning Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica, Lucifer). Warlock empowers players to use magic to overcome a wide range of challenges. In exploration, every spell is a key that unlocks new paths and possibilities in a beautiful yet unsettling world. When facing enemies, magic and melee combine for a combat experience that is both tactical and visceral.
The Warlock gameplay reveal starts off by revealing a brand-new character: Tasha. Maggie Robertson plays the role of Tasha, who acts as Kaatri’s patron and source of power. Tasha teaches Kaatri to sense Raw Magic, power hidden throughout Darkon that lets her expand and transform her magical ability.
From there, the reveal shows how magic allows players to read and reshape the world. Kaatri turns the environment, enemy positioning and even the weather into tactical opportunities, chaining spells together.
Exodus
Archetype Entertainment’s Mass Effect-style Exodus has a new trailer and a release date: April 7, 2027. That’s for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The new cinematic gameplay trailer reveals more of Salt, an Awakened octopus mercenary and bounty hunter who joins Jun’s journey as a companion. During the video, fans are given another glimpse into the game’s combat and universe. Much more on Exodus here.
Dust Origins
Darksiders developer Airship Syndicate announced Dust Origins, a new isometric action game that’s dripping with sci-fi cool. It reminds me of The Ascent, which is fantastic.
Game of Thrones: War for Westeros
We got a good look at the real-time strategy game, Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, via a new gameplay trailer. John Snow is in it! It’s due out early 2027. More on Game of Thrones: War for Westeros right here.
PUBG: DED.NET
PUBG: DED.NET is a new PvP FPS from PUBG STUDIOS set in Cascadia in 1996, a fictional region inspired by the American Pacific Northwest. It introduces a darker new setting for the PUBG franchise built around character-driven combat, shifting match conditions, and roguelite progression across multi-match runs. Players can now also register for the upcoming closed beta.
Rayman Legends Retold
Led by Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan, Rayman Legends Retold builds on the charm of the original 2013 game, now brought to life with 3D visuals, a brand-new story, and fully voiced cinematics. The new trailer is below.

Tides of Annihilation
We have confirmation of Angela Sant’Albano as the new voice for lead character, Gwendolyn, alongside a new trailer. Sant’Albano played Grace Ashcroft in Resident Evil Requiem. Eclipse Glow Games’ new trailer for its highly anticipated single-player action-adventure title, offers players a dramatic look at the emotional core of the game following the cataclysmic destruction of London as Gwendolyn mysteriously inherits the mystical power of King Arthur.
In the trailer, a distraught Gwendolyn considers her new reality amid the ash of a ruinous London before being encouraged by the legendary Guinevere to harness the power of the Fog – a power only King Arthur once wielded – to save both London and the otherworldly realm of Avalon from total annihilation. Embracing her destiny, Gwendolyn takes up the sword and learns to fight alongside powerful spectral knights; this new trailer debuts the legendary Sir Lancelot summoned by Gwendolyn to dispatch enemies in spectacular style.

Crimson Desert Enhanced
Crimson Desert is now Crimson Desert Enhanced! The 2.0 update includes new story moments and cutscenes. I’m a huge fan of Crimson Desert, but haven’t played it in the last month or so. This is a great excuse to return. Much more on Crimson Desert Enhanced here.
Silent Hill: Townfall
We got a new look at Silent Hill: Townfall, the next spinoff in Konami’s horror franchise. The trailer below confirms the English cast, which includes Jovan Adepo, Terry O’Quinn, and Keiza Burrows. Emmy Award winner Terry O’Quinn (Lost, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live) joins the cast as Richard, an enigmatic character who summons protagonist Simon Odell, played by Jovan Adepo (The Odyssey, IT, Welcome to Derry, 3 Body Problem) back to the remote St. Amelia. Alongside them stars Kezia Burrows (Observation) in the role of Zoe, a compassionate nurse whose voice reaches out to Simon through layers of static on the CRTV.
The trailer also includes a glimpse at the horrors that await Simon, including relentless new monsters…
Ananta returns to ONL
We have a new look at Ananta, the free-to-play urban open-world RPG from NetEase. Anime GTA, anyone? It’s due out January 15, 2027 on Ananta’s official PC client, on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and mobile platforms. Alongside the launch date announcement, Ananta’s new trailer reveals Chongxiao, the game’s second major city.
Gears of War: E-Day
We got a brand new trailer for Gears of War: E-Day from Xbox. It’s due out October 6.
Rainbow Six Tactics
We have a new Rainbow Six game! Rainbow Six Tactics is a new single-player, turn-based tactical game set in the Rainbow Six universe from Ubisoft Paris. It’s due out 2027 across PC through Ubisoft Connect, Steam and the Epic Games Store, but also on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. It will also be available on Ubisoft+, GeForce Now, and Blacknut at launch. Much more on Rainbow Six Tactics here.
New game from HoYoverse, maker of Genshin Impact
HoYoverse, developer of Genshin Impact, has announced a Monster Hunter / Elden Ring type game that is very different from what we’re used to from the company. It’s called Nodus Fall.
And we’re off!
Geoff Keighley is on-stage, greeting the audience. There’s plenty of applause. We’re set for two hours of video game updates. “We’ve got a lot of great stuff for you today,” Keighley says. He touches on video game layoffs and the memory crisis, which has hit the industry deeply. But he is enthusiastic about the future of video games, which we’ll see some of during ONL tonight.
