Apple offering free repairs for iPhone 12 and 12 Pro units with speaker issues

If you own an iPhone 12 or 12 Pro and are experiencing speaker issues, Apple may cover your phone repair. A new service program was issued for devices not emitting any sound from the receiver during calls and manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021. All devices experiencing said problems will be serviced free of charge from an Apple Authorized Service Provider.

The repair program appears to be eligible globally though Apple explicitly mentions that it “may restrict or limit repair to the original country or region of purchase”. The program covers iPhone 12 and 12 Pro units two years after their first retail sale. Apple also decided that iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max models are not part of this program.
