Apple has announced the launch of the iPhone Duo, its first foldable phone, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max. The Apple iPhone Duo and the iPhone 18 Pro series is powered by the new A20 Pro chip. The iPhone Duo features an advanced thermal management system with a custom-designed vapour chamber and a dual-battery architecture. Here’s everything to know.
Apple iPhone Duo: Price, Availability, Specifications
iPhone Duo is available in star white and night sky, and its pricing is as follows:

One will be able to pre-order iPhone Duo beginning at 5:30 PM IST on Friday, October 16, with availability beginning Friday, October 23.
The Apple iPhone Duo gets a 7.6-inch foldable main display and a 5.4-inch cover display. These are OLED displays with a Resolution of 2670 x 1878 pixels, 430 ppi, a nano-texture finish, and a 4:3 aspect ratio for the foldable panel. The cover display gets a 1398 x 2034 pixels resolution, 460 ppi, 10:16 aspect ratio, and up to a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Both of them support up to 3000 nits peak brightness, HDR, and True Tone. It is protected with Apple’s Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and Ceramic Shield on the back. Later this year, iPhone Duo will also support Apple Pencil with USB-C.
The device is powered by the Apple A20 Pro Chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 2TB of storage. It runs on iOS 27.1 out of the box.
For optics, there is a 48MP f/1.6 primary sensor with OIS and this sensor also enables 12MP optical-quality 2x telephoto shots. The second camera has a 48MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle sensor on the back. There’s a 12-megapixel f/2.2 Sensor in the cover display for selfies, plus an under-display sensor for the foldable panel which supports f/1.8 aperture.
Apple promises up to 24-hour typical use, up to 44 hours video playback when using the outer display and up to 31 hours when using the inner display. Apple says it can charge up to 50% in 20 minutes with a 60W adaptor, and it also supports up to 25W wireless charging.
Connectivity options include Apple N1 wireless networking chip enabling 5G, LTE, Bluetooth v6.0, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, GPS, along with the Apple C2 modem and a USB Type-C port. The device supports dual eSIM only. There is a side-mounted Touch ID fingerprint sensor for security, stereo speakers, while the device is IP68 rated also.

Customers will be able to pre-order iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max beginning at 5:30 PM IST this Saturday, September 12, with availability beginning Friday, September 18. They come in Black, Silver, Glacier, and Burgundy shades.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max sports a 6.9-inch 120Hz ProMotion Super Retina XDR panel with a 2868 x 1320 pixels resolution at 460 ppi. It has support for HDR, TruTone, Ceramic shield protection, and up to 3000 nits of peak outdoor brightness. It also has Always-on functionality. The 18 Pro has a 6.3-inch display with the same features and 2622 x 1206 pixels resolution at 460 ppi. It is protected with Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and Ceramic Shield on the back.
Under the hood, the iPhone 18 Pro series is powered by the company’s A20 Pro chipset with 12GB RAM and up to 2TB storage. The chip is built on a 2nm process and gets 50 percent more memory Bandwidth than A19 Pro, while the new 6-core CPU features integrated Neural Accelerators and is faster than the competition, and the new 7-core GPU design is up to 40 percent faster than A19 Pro.
A20 Pro also features a new Dual 16-core Neural Engine, which accelerates on-device AI models and computational photography, and includes 32 total cores for double the AI processing power of A19 Pro.
iPhone 18 Pro series sports a triple rear camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary camera with OIS and variable Aperture (f/1.48, f/1.8, f/2.8, f/4.0), 48MP ultra-wide angle f/2.2 sensor with autofocus and a 120-degree FoV, and a 48MP 4x f/2.8 telephoto sensor. The phones sport a TrueDepth 18MP f/1.9 front facing sensor inside a redesigned (and smaller) Dynamic Island. The devices can shoot videos in up to 4K Resolution at 120 fps, along with Dolby Vision capture support.
There’s support for up to 25W wireless charging. Apple claims up to 23 hours of typical use for iPhone 18 Pro and up to 29 hours with iPhone 18 Pro Max. They can charge up to 50% charge in around 15 minutes when using 60W-capable adapter or higher.
The iPhone 18 Pro series gets the Apple C2 cellular modem, Apple N1 networking chip with Bluetooth 6.0, Wi‑Fi 7 with 2×2 MIMO, 2nd Gen Ultra Wideband chip for spatial awareness and NFC with reader mode. Additionally, they equip stereo speakers and Face ID as well and a USB-C 3.0 port for charging along with IP68 water resistance. They run on iOS 27.1.
