Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max first teardown confirms battery capacity

The Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max will be available tomorrow for pickup and shipments but today a teardown surfaced, giving us us a look into the internals of the flagship.

The biggest change since the iPhone 11 Pro Max is the position of the motherboard that also is affecting the shape of the battery – now all the crucial components are on the right side and the power cell has an L shape.

Thanks to the images we can also confirm the battery capacity of 3,687 mAh which is about 10% less than the one in the predecessor – so far we only knew that from certifications and sales offers. The size of the motherboard is exactly the same as the one in the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.
