ZTE Axon 10s Pro unveiled with S865 chipset, 5G connectivity and 48MP main cam

ZTE has effectively made the Axon 10s Pro official – there’s a detailed product page on the company’s website, leaving only the small details of when the phone will be available to consumers and how much it will cost.

The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset with 6/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. ZTE used fast LPDDR5 and UFS 3.0 chips respectively. There’s a chance that this Axon will be the first phone to use LPDDR5 RAM, depending on when it comes out.

The company is also boasting RAM-Booster and FS-Booster to improve the read/write performance of RAM and the file system. The MiFavor 10 software is based on Android 10.

The theme of speed carries over to wireless connectivity. The phone supports 5G and Wi-Fi 6. Link-Booster can combine local and cell networks to improve link stability and boost speed by up to 50%.

The main camera on the back features a 48MP sensor. It’s joined by an 8MP telephoto camera and a 20MP ultrawide-angle cam (125°).

The phone boasts stereo ultra-linear speakers and DTS: X Ultra. There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack, however it does feature Bluetooth 5.0.

The 4,000mAh battery feels a bit on the small side for a device this size, especially with 5G connectivity. It does feature Quick Charge 4+ (which also includes USB Power Delivery), there’s no word on wireless charging.
