Zhong Yi Optics releases $299 135mm F2.5 lens for full-frame DSLR, mirrorless camera systems

Chinese lens manufacturer Zhong Yi Optics has announced the Mitakon 135mm F2.5. A fast, manual telephoto portrait lens for full-frame DSLR and mirrorless camera systems.

The lens is constructed of nine elements in seven groups, including two extra-low dispersion and two ultra-high refraction elements. It has a nine-blade aperture diaphragm, an aperture range of F2.5 through F22, a minimum focusing distance of 100cm (4′) and uses a 67mm front filter thread.

Despite offering a 135mm focal length, the lens is rather compact at just 137mm (5.4″) long by 79mm (3.1″) in diameter and weighing 856g (1.86lbs). The lens is available in Canon EF, Canon RF, Nikon F, Nikon Z and Sony FE mount options.
