Xiaomi sells 350,000 Mi 11 units in 5 minutes

Late last month Xiaomi took the wraps off the Mi 11, the world’s first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset. Today the company had its first sale of the device in its home market of China, and it looks like it was a resounding success.

Xiaomi managed to sell over 350,000 Mi 11 units in just five minutes. The total value of those exceeded CNY 1.5 billion. We’re assuming people in China have been convinced by the phone’s amazing specs to price ratio and we’re hoping Xiaomi launches it in other countries very soon.
