Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ spotted sporting a curved AMOLED display

Xiaomi recently hinted that the unveiling of the Redmi Note 12 series of phones should take place this month. We are still quite light on details, but the consensus among industry sources seems to be that initially, the launch will include three devices – the Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+. Going by past experience with Redmi Note lines, we only expect that list to get longer and longer with time.

But for now, prior to the announcement event, we get to focus on some this Xiaomi teaser which seems to show a Redmi Note 12 phone, likely the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ with a curved display. Naturally, that also entails that the panel in question will be OLED.

As we said, we are still light on other details regarding the Redmi Note 12 phones, but sole leaks include mention of a Dimensity 1080 chipset for the two Pro models. The 1080 is an improvement over the Dimensity 920 in a few ways, but many are focusing on the chip’s ability to handle a 200MP camera. It is not unreasonable to expect a 200MP camera from at least one of the Redmi Note 12 phones.

Circling back to Xiaomi’s Weibo post teasing the Redmi Note 12 series, we know that the phones will feature “two major technologies”, one of them being “first in the world”. We also know that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has been certified to handle 210W charging. Perhaps that’s one of the features Xiaomi is referring to. But that’s just speculation on our part. As things currently stand, there is still a bit of mystery to be excited about in the lead-up to the announcement.
