Xiaomi’s Redmi introduced the Redmi Note 11 Pro, Note 11 Pro+ 5G, and Watch 2 Lite in India yesterday, but it isn’t done for the month yet since the company today announced it will launch the Redmi 10 in India on March 17.
However, the Redmi 10 coming to India next week isn’t the one that was unveiled last August or in February this year (called Redmi 10 2022) with the Helio G88 SoC. We are looking at an entirely new smartphone.
Redmi hasn’t detailed the Redmi 10 Indian model’s specs sheet yet, but the company did give us a glimpse of its design and reveal some features. For starters, the Indian Redmi 10 will be powered by a 6nm Snapdragon chip and sport a notched display instead of one with a centered punch hole.

The smartphone also has a textured back cover with a smudge-free finish, and it sports a square-ish island now, housing flash and two cameras. The primary camera uses a 50MP sensor, and the secondary unit could just be a depth sensor.
The island also houses a fingerprint reader, reminding us of the Realme Narzo 50A.

Redmi also teased fast charging, “massive battery,” and “ultra-fast storage” on the Redmi 10 but didn’t get into the specifics.

While we await more details about the Indian Redmi 10, here’s a quick recap of the Redmi 10 launched last August. The smartphone comes with Helio G88 SoC, 6.5″ 90Hz FullHD+ LCD, Android 11-based MIUI 12.5, 8MP selfie camera, 50MP quad camera, and 5,000 mAh battery with 18W charging.
It also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and comes with stereo speakers.
