Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G stock depletes instantly in first Chinese sale

The Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro is more than just a repackaged Mi 9 despite the obvious visual resemblance. In addition to the Snapdragon 855+ chipset and larger 4,000 mAh battery with 40W wired fast charging the phone also brings a 5G version which starts at CNY 3,699 ($520).

This makes the Mi 9 Pro 5G the most affordable 5G phone with on the market and it unsurprisingly sold out in a matter of seconds after it was launched earlier today. The device managed to sell out in all of its configurations which range from 8GB RAM and 256GB storage up to 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. Xiaomi hasn’t announced when Mi 9 Pro 5G sales will recommence but we hope it doesn’t take long.
