Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra Launched in India with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC

Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra have been announced in India with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Both the devices support 50W wireless charging, have Leica optics, and run on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Here’s everything else to know about the devices including their pricing and availability details.

Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra: Price, Availability

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be available starting at a price of Rs 1,39,999 for the single 16GB + 512GB version, where buyers can also avail up to Rs 10,000 instant discount on SBI Credit Cards and Credit Card EMI, or Rs 14,444 per month for 9 months. As part of the Early Bird offer from 13th to 17th March, customers purchasing the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will receive the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit Pro worth Rs 19,999 at no additional cost, only till stocks last. The device comes in Black and White shades.

The Xiaomi 17 starts at Rs 89,999, or Rs 9,999 per month for 9 months for the 12GB + 256GB trim and costs Rs 99,999 for the 12GB + 512GB version. During the ‘Never Run Out’ launch offer, the 12GB + 512GB variant will be available at the price of the 12GB + 256GB variant. During the Early Bird period starting March 13 till March 17, customers can also receive a Free Phone Damage Protection Plan worth ₹9,999. The Xiaomi 17 comes in Venture Green, Ice Blue and Black shades.

Both devices also unlock a range of premium partner benefits, including 4 months of Spotify Premium, 3 months of Google AI Pro, 3 months of YouTube Premium, and Jio benefits worth Rs 31,500.

The Xiaomi 17 Series will be available across Amazon.in, mi.com, and Xiaomi retail stores starting 18th March 2026.

Xiaomi 17 Specifications

The Xiaomi 17 gets a 6.3-inch (2656 x 1200 pixels) 1.5K Resolution M10 12-bit OLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, LTPO technology for 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, up to 3500 nits peak brightness, 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, HDR10+ support, Dolby Vision, 1920Hz PWM Dimming, DC Dimming, and Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass protection.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The Xiaomi 17 gets a triple rear camera system, including a 50MP Leica primary camera with f/1.67 Light Fusion 950 lens, OIS, LED flash, paired with a 50MP 102-degree Leica ultra-wide angle OV50M lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 50MP 2.6x 10cm Leica telephoto camera with Samsung JN5 sensor, f/2.0 Aperture and OIS. There’s a 50MP f/2.2 selfie snapper on the front with auto focus support.

The Xiaomi 17 is equipped with Dolby Atmos dual stereo speakers and a 4-mic array capturing sound in 360 degrees while recording a video. As for the battery, the Xiaomi 17 has a 6330mAh battery (7000mAh in Chinese version) with 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 22.5W reverse wireless charging.

It further has a customised high-vibration X-axis linear motor, USB-C 3.2 port, NFC, Bluetooth v6.0, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, an IR blaster, and Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 3.0 based on Android 16. The handset is also IP68 + IP69 rated.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra Specifications

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch display with a 1.5K Resolution of 2608 x 1200 pixels, achieving a Pixel density of 416 ppi. It reaches a peak brightness of 3500 nits and supports Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10+ formats. Furthermore, this display employs LTPO technology, enabling a variable Refresh Rate from 1-120 Hz, alongside DC dimming and 2160Hz PWM dimming.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. The device gets 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra has a triple-camera system on the rear, including a 50MP f/1.7 1-inch Light Fusion 1050L sensor with 14EV native dynamic range, 1G+6P Aspherical High-Transparency Lens Group, and OIS. It is accompanied by a 50MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle sensor and a 200MP Leica super telephoto lens with 1/1.4-inch HPE image sensor, f/2.39-2.96 ultra-large aperture, support for 3.2 – 4.3x optical zoom, 3G+5P Aspherical High-Transparency Lens Group, a zoom ring, 30cm Telephoto Macro option, OIS, and support for 8K video recording also. At the front, there’s a 50MP sensor for selfies.

The rear Sensors further also pack features like laser auto-focus, a colour spectrum sensor, Leica lenses, Dual-LED flash, HDR, panorama, and an optional 67mm filter ring holder. Moreover, the master ring is fully sealed to maintain IP66 + IP68 + IP69 ratings.
