The DJI Mini 4K is a great deal at full price, but it’s an absolute steal at $60 off. You’ll get everything you need to take to the air, including the drone, a battery, a charging cable, one pair of spare propellers, a screwdriver and a remote. You can clip the remote to your screen which will allow you to see through the drone’s ‘eyes’, an experience in itself.

It boasts a 1/2.3-inch 12MP CMOS sensor and 4K/30fps (or 60fps at 1080p) video capture, perfect for capturing aerial footage and stills. In his review of the DJI Mini 4K, James Abbott awarded it five stars, praising its user-friendliness and the flexibility of its camera. Image quality aside, the DJI Mini 4K has ‘quickshots’, pre-set flight patterns that allow you to capture some genuinely impressive videos.

There’s no collision avoidance, but the drone will guide itself home when its 21-25 battery power starts to wane. Add in wind resistance of up to 24 mph and you’ve got a drone that’s as powerful as it is beginner-friendly.

Key features: 8.7 oz / 249 g weight, 7 x 5.55 x 5.47 inches / 178 x 141 x 139 mm size unfolded, battery around 25 minutes, video resolution 4K, 2.7K, 1080p, frame rate 4K 30 FPS / 2.7K up to 60 FPS 1080p up to 60 FPS.

Product launched: April 2024

Price history: The DJI Mini 4K dropped to this price for Prime Day, back in June, but it typically sits around $300.

Price comparison: Amazon: $239 | Best Buy: $399 | DJI Store: $299

Reviews consensus: In our review of the DJI Mini 4K we sang its praises, awarding it five stars. Reviewer James Abbott was taken by its performance, price and ease of use. It’s been as well received on Amazon, though, as James also discovered, it tends to fall short of its advertised 31-minute flight time.
