Watch the Honor Magic V2 get assembled on video

Honor Magic V2

We assume that, over the years, you’ve seen your fair share of teardown / disassembly videos, where one YouTuber or another takes apart a smartphone or another. Maybe they even reassemble it at the end. That’s cool enough.

But you know what would be cooler? Starting from a bunch of parts, and assembling the smartphone on camera. And that’s exactly what Zack of fame has done today, with Honor’s help. At the start, there are only parts. At the end, there’s a fully functioning Honor Magic V2, the brand’s latest foldable smartphone, introduced last month.

The Magic V2 is the world’s thinnest and lightest ‘book-style’ foldable – not even the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, which was announced a few hours ago, could top it. Speaking of which, the timing of this video’s release seems awfully coincidental, doesn’t it? Clearly, Honor wanted to steal some of Xiaomi’s thunder / spotlight / limelight / whatever you want to call it, and this was the way it thought to do that.

The Magic V2 is also directly compared, in size and weight, to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold5 in the video, which makes sense since that will be the Honor’s main competitor outside of China.

We have to say, there are definitely worse ways to try and get into the spotlight. This is just plain cool. Anyway, if you’re interested in learning more about the Honor Magic V2, make sure you read our hands-on review of it.
