Vanilla Oppo Reno3 is also coming with 5G

Oppo Reno3 lineup is arriving on December 26 and we know there is going to be a Pro variant with 5G and curved edges of the screen. It will also have a hole for the selfie camera in the upper left corner, unlike the regular Reno3 that will have a flat panel and waterdrop notch.

Today, the company updated its boilerplate at the new phones’ landing page, revealing that the Oppo Reno3 will have the Dimensity 1000L modem that supports 5G and is built by Mediatek.

Having a Mediatek modem means the phone will have a chipset from the Taiwanese semiconductor company as well. Rumors point to the MT6885, which was already benchmarked on AnTuTu, scoring an outstanding result of 379,839.

The Oppo Reno3 is expected to be the more affordable alternative of the Reno3 Pro, but will still have a nice gradient finish on the back, complementing a four-camera setup. The main shooter is likely to be 64 MP, while the whole device will be under 8 mm thick and will have a 4,025 mAh battery.

Whether or not Oppo is planning to launch a non-5G version of the phone, we expect to learn in two weeks during the official unveiling.
