The 15-inch MacBook for 2023 won’t be an Air, Ming-Chi Kuo says

A report from yesterday suggested that Apple is readying a new 15-inch MacBook Air for 2023, which seems to be in line with previous reports about such device. However, noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that while the notebook draws some similarities with the Air, it won’t be called Air.

He believes that the company will start producing the laptop in the fourth quarter of 2023 and will use the same 30W charger as the Air. This could mean that the device will indeed be part of the more budget-friendly MacBook lineup.

We can be almost certain that it won’t be called a MacBook Pro, though, judging by the small power supply. Then again, earlier reports point at an overhauled design that’s more in line with the Pro series.
