Sigma’s Optimization Pro software now has native support for Apple Silicon

Sigma has released the latest version of its Sigma Optimization Pro 1.7.0 software, bringing with it new features for both the macOS and Windows version, as well as native support for Apple silicon.

Sigma’s USB Dock that’s used to update firmware on Sigma Art, Contemporary and Sport lenses.

Sigma Optimization Pro is a free program used to update firmware and tweak the settings of Sigma’s lenses, speedlights and mount converters using its USB docks. Version 1.7.0 of the program is rather minor, but is notable in that it brings native support to Apple’s M1 computers, which should ensure better compatibility and stability compared to running the previous versions through Rosetta 2.
