Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Launched in Korea with a 10-inch Foldable Display

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold has been announced for a limited set of markets, where it will be first available in Korea. It is the first tri-folding device from Samsung which competes with Huawei’s Mate XT Ultimate which debuted in September last year. Here’s everything to know about Samsung’s most advanced foldable phone till date.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold: Price, Availability

The Galaxy Z TriFold price is yet to be revealed by the brand. However, the company has announced that the device is expected to be available for purchase in Korea on December 12, 2025, followed by other markets including China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE and the U.S. At launch, Galaxy Z TriFold will be offered at select retail stores in respective launch countries for hands-on discovery of this new device and in-store assistance. It comes in a single Crafted Black shade.

The Galaxy Z TriFold is a tri-folding phone that has a 10-inch display (2160 x 1584 pixels resolution) when fully unfolded, which converts to a 6.5-inch panel (1080 x 2520 pixels) when fully folded and in a single-screen state. The Dynamic AMOLED 2X folding display has a 269 ppi, 1600 nits peak brightness, and a 1 to 120Hz Refresh Rate support. The 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X outer display has 422 ppi, 1 to 120Hz dynamic refresh rate, 2600 nits peak brightness, and a 21:9 aspect ratio. This display is also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold front back

It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset. On the software front, it boots One UI 8 based on Android 16. The Galaxy Z TriFold is also the first Samsung mobile phone to have standalone Samsung DeX available. In addition, it packs 16GB of in-built storage and 512GB and 1TB storage options.

The device features a triple camera setup on the rear, including a 200MP f/1.7 primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide unit, and a 10MP f/2.4 telephoto snapper with 3x Optical Zoom and OIS. Further, it has a pair of 10MP f/2.2 shooters for selfies with one in the cover display and one in the folding panel.

Connectivity options on the handset include dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and a USB-C port. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, dual stereo speakers, IP48 rating, and 3 microphones. Finally, the device packs a 5,600mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging paired with 15W wireless charging.
