The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul, South Korea last month have been up for pre-booking in India since July 27, and Samsung today announced both foldables will finally go on sale in India starting August 18.
Samsung also announced that it received a record 100,000 pre-bookings for the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 in India during the first 28 hours of the pre-orders going live, which is 1.7 times the pre-bookings it received last year for the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4. However, Samsung didn’t reveal the latest pre-order numbers, and we are unsure why the brand took two weeks to share the figures they did today.

Regardless, if you plan to buy the Fold5 or Flip5 in India, you might want to pre-book one to enjoy pre-order benefits. The Fold5 starts at INR154,999 ($1,875/€1,700) in India, and the Flip5 at INR99,999 ($1,210/€1,110). You can check all the pricing and offer details here.
