Samsung Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch3 receive new updates improving Wi-Fi

Samsung has started sending out a new update for two of its wearables – the original Galaxy Watch from 2018, as well as the Galaxy Watch3 from last year. It’s nice to see the older model receiving the new software at exactly the same time as its successor.

The new build is R80xXXU1FUD1 for the Galaxy Watch, and R84xXXU1BUD1 for the Galaxy Watch3. In both cases the lowercase “x” changes depending on your specific model and region.

The older watch is currently only being graced with the update in Korea, while the newer model is getting it in the US, Canada, India, and Korea at the moment.

While these may take a while to reach all units out there, they are out now. And if you’re impatient it won’t hurt to open your Galaxy Wearable app and check for updates.

The changelog is the same for both watches, you are getting improved Messaging app stability, improved Wi-Fi stability, and overall better system stability and reliability. Definitely not a huge update, then, but one that’s good to have nevertheless.
