Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 leak shows it in all colors

Samsung is making the Galaxy Watch Active 2 official on August 5, as teased yesterday. In the meantime, how about some newly leaked official-looking press renders of the upcoming wearable? The latest batch comes from two different sources no less.

First off, let’s take a look at what are said to be all the color versions of the watch – at least initially, upon launch. More options might become available in the future. So there’s going to be a black/silver model, a pale blue/grey one, and a pink/gold/beige looking thing too.

Next up, there’s going to be a special Under Armour edition of the smartwatch, that will be offered in black with either black or grey straps. There may be more color versions of this one, though.

It’s unclear exactly what will make it different from a vanilla Watch Active 2, though it’s probably safe to expect it to come bundled with a lot of Under Armour stuff. Buying this could net you a subscription to one of the many fitness related services that company operates – MapMyFitness, Endomondo, and MyFitnessPal come to mind, for example.

The Watch Active 2 could have a touch bezel, allowing for a way to navigate the UI without covering up the screen at the same time. The watch is rumored to have Bluetooth 5.0 on board, an ECG, fall detection, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, the Exynos 9110 chipset, and a 360×360 Super AMOLED display. Two sizes will be available – the 40mm watch gets a 1.2-inch screen, while the 44mm device has a 1.4-inch panel. The smaller model has a 247 mAh battery, the larger one goes to 340 mAh.

The wearable is expected to be offered both in Wi-Fi-only and LTE variants. Gorilla Glass will be on the screen for protection, and the Watch Active 2 is apparently MIL-STD 810G certified and has 5ATM water resistance.
