Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Launched with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Exynos 2600 Chipsets

Samsung Galaxy S26 series has finally been announced with three devices: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The trio comes with 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2x display along with the Ultra packing the world’s first in-built Privacy Display technology. Here’s everything to know about the devices.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Price, Specifications

The Galaxy S26 Ultra comes in 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB variants, priced at Rs 1,39,999, Rs 1,59,999, and Rs 1,89,999, respectively. It is available in Cobalt Violet, White, Black and Sky Blue shades alongside the Samsung.com-exclusive Pink Gold and Silver Shadow colours. It is now up for pre-order.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x panel with dynamic Refresh Rate from 1Hz to 120Hz, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 2600 nits peak brightness, Eye comfort shield, and Privacy Display technology. Further, there’s an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Corning Gorilla Armor 2 protects this panel.

As for how the Privacy Display technology works, by controlling how pixels disperse light, the display keeps content clear, bright and comfortable for the user in everyday use, while limiting what others can see. Unlike traditional stick-on privacy films, Galaxy’s integrated Privacy Display preserves full viewing quality from all directions when off, and limits visibility for others from side viewing angles when activated, even when switching between portrait and landscape orientation.

Users can customize when it turns on – such as when entering PINs, patterns and passwords or opening selected apps – and adjust privacy levels depending on the situation. Partial Screen Privacy intelligently limits visibility for notification pop-ups, while Maximum Privacy Protection further obscures side views for added discretion, all with minimal impact on power or usability.

It features 12GB and 16GB RAM options and storage options including 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The device is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy SoC.
